About this Course

The Town of Oakville is proud to collaborate with Grandmothers Voice to present a 5 week hybrid (virtual and in-person) program that celebrates Indigenous culture and community, as well as encourages critical discussions about historical and contemporary issues facing Indigenous peoples through the voices of the community with the intention of to establish the grounds towards Truth and Reconciliaction. The final session of the wonderfully reflective Planting Our Seed program will come to a conclusion with an In –Person Walk to Remember with the Survivors taking place on Dec 14 from 1-3 pm We are thrilled to be joined by special guests Robbie (Roberta) Hill and Dawn Hill from Survivors' Secretariat. The program will start at the Oakville Museum Coach House and we will then take a reflective winter stroll to the orange crosswalk located on Church and Thomas Street (about a 7 minute walk) Light refreshments will be served Here are the details: When: Wednesday Dec 14 Time: 1:00 pm- 3:00 pm Where: Oakville Museum Coach House 8 Navy St, Oakville, ON L6J 2Y5
